North Ringwood Care

As part of North Ringwood Uniting Church’s social justice outreach to the local community, North Ringwood Care was established in 2002 solely for the purpose of relief of persons in North Ringwood and surrounding areas who are in necessitous circumstances. Our goal is to provide a level of support that will assist clients to move away from dependency to gain sense of independence.

All clients are treated in a compassionate, caring, non judgemental manner respecting their dignity and absolute privacy. Interviews are conducted in safe, warm and friendly environment. Although established to cater for the needy in North Ringwood and surrounding areas our practice is to accept and assist all clients who present at North Ringwood Care.

North Ringwood Care is run entirely by volunteers, we have no paid staff.

The relief provided is mainly but not restricted to emergency food relief. Access to other agencies such as Age Care, Substance Abuse, Community Budgeting, Child Protection and Support, Crisis Intervention, Employment Providers, Financial Counseling, Gambling Support, Housing, Legal, Meals, Mental Illness, Pharmacy Support, Welfare Rights, Whitegoods and Furniture and others are offered as seen fit and appropriate for the clients circumstances.

Provision of some services is provided through a number of partnerships which have been established.
